Getting Started
Time is finite. Experience has shown that for consulting to be a productive use of time, three things must align well. Please take a moment to review them before requesting a consulting call.
Readiness
Is this the right time for your business to undertake this project? For the project to be successful, the owner and the site developer (internal staff or external agency) must make a time commitment to work on the project. The goal is measurable improvement in skills and outcomes. It takes time and effort to reach that goal. If the time is not available now, it would be better to tackle this at a later date.
Ability
I work with a very limited number of clients at any one time to deliver excellent value to each. Hourly consultation packages start at $550 for a five-hour block. Depending on your particular situation, a discounted project package may be a better option. We can determine that once we have had an initial conversation. You may also need to invest funds so your designer or staff member can make necessary changes. If funds are tight, consider self help routes including reading the articles on this and other sites.
Good Fit
Before committing to a consulting project, I find it works best to have a call, of about an hour, to discuss your situation. I start by listening to you, to learn about your business, customers and current online presence.
You also have the opportunity to ask questions and decide if this is the right direction for you. This is not a sales call. It is “getting to know you” call. The conversation helps everyone decide if there is a good fit and what shape, if any, a project should take. There is no charge for this call.
So Now What?
If you are ready, able, and think this would be a good fit for your needs, here are the next three steps:
- Step One – Complete the Application for a Consulting Call
- Step Two – Schedule and Participate in a 1 hour Call
- Step Three – Make a Final Decision and Schedule Project
